Kalkaska Commission on Aging offers medical transportation for seniors, providing safe, convenient rides to appointments and essential care.

Medical transportation

Transportation is available through the COA for medical appointments only, including the dentist, eye doctor, and prescription pickup. There is a minimal fee of $10.00–$20.00. Please give us at least two days’ notice to arrange for a driver. Any trip over 100 miles round trip will be discussed and agreed upon before scheduling. Call the Kalkaska COA to set up transportation assistance.

 

Kalkaska Public Transit will assist Kalkaska County residents with medical appointments within Kalkaska County, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. They ask for 48 hours’ notice. KPT will also transport Kalkaska County residents who utilize the outpatient Biederman Cancer Treatment Center in Traverse City. This service is available Monday through Friday.
