About COA

The Kalkaska County Commission on Aging (COA) is here to support older adults across our community with services that promote independence, wellness, and connection. From meal programs and community resources to activities, trips, and special events, we work to help seniors stay active, informed, and engaged.

Located at the Kalkaska Senior Center, the COA is a welcoming place to build friendships, find support, and access programs that make day-to-day life easier. Whether you visit regularly or need help getting started, our team is ready to connect you with the right services and information.

Our Mission Statement

The Kalkaska County Commission on Aging Mission is to develop and manage a comprehensive and coordinated system of services for older adults designed to create opportunities for those individuals to attain an independent quality of life while maintaining their dignity.

Funding for the COA is provided by senior millage, Federal and State funding through the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan, the Bureau of Aging, Community, and Living Supports, and client donations. These agencies are Equal Opportunity Employers and Providers.
